Change 2008 in Papenburg

OFFIS and TZI Bremen demonstrated their activities in the ambient assisted living (AAL) environment on the "Change 2008" symposium in Papenburg. It was the third symposium to accomplish the demographic change which was hosted by the corporate association "Centers of Competences e.V.". On October 9th and 10th OFFIS and TZI presented on a their booth at the "Alte Werft" in Papenburg the up to date activities of both companies.

OFFIS exhibited the Hearing at Home demonstrator to point out problems of hearing impaired people as well as solutions. Guest could try the hearing impairment simulation during watching TV as well as the improvement of the audio signal using the Hearing at Home algorithms iSASP and gSASP. SynFace was also presented to the visitors to demonstrate the improvement of speech intelligibility by introducing visual support.
